Product Overview

EDJ series is a packaged fire pump set, generally an automatic fire water supply system. It consists of a main pump (driven by an electrical motor), a standby pump (driven by a diesel engine), and a jockey pump. This model comes equipped with a separate controller, or one that is attached to the skid. The package also contains discharge valves, common header, and accessories.

Working Principle

The system maintains pipeline pressure between low pressure P1 and high pressure P2. When pressure drops below P1, the jockey pump starts automatically until it reaches P2. In the event of high water consumption or leaks where pressure drops to P3, the electric pump activates. If power fails or the electric pump cannot maintain demand (dropping to P4), the diesel pump set starts automatically. All main pumps are stopped manually after operational assessment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What components are included in the EDJ fire pump package?
The EDJ series includes a main electric motor pump, a standby diesel engine pump, and a jockey pump, along with a control system, discharge valves, and a common header.
Q2: How does the system handle a power failure?
In the event of a power outage or electric pump failure, the system detects the pressure drop to a critical level (P4) and automatically triggers the diesel engine pump to ensure uninterrupted fire water supply.
Q3: What international standards do your fire pumps meet?
Our fire pumps are designed and manufactured to comply with UL, FM, NFPA20, CE, and ISO standards, ensuring global safety compliance.
Q4: What is the typical lead time for a custom fire pump set?
Generally, the delivery time is 35 working days for a full diesel engine pump set and 25 working days for bare shaft configurations.
Q5: Can the pump operate with different local power voltages?
Yes, we support multiple voltage configurations including 220V, 380V, 400V, 415V, and 440V at both 50Hz and 60Hz frequencies.
Q6: What materials are used for the main pump components?
The pump casing is made of durable ductile iron, and the impeller is constructed from high-quality bronze for superior corrosion resistance and longevity.
