1. Overview

The EDJ series is a professionally packaged fire pump set, designed as an automatic fire water supply system. It typically consists of a primary pump driven by an electrical motor, a standby pump powered by a diesel engine, and a jockey pump to maintain system pressure. This comprehensive package includes separate or skid-attached controllers, discharge valves, a common header, and necessary accessories.

2. Working Principle

The system maintains pipeline pressure between a set low (P1) and high (P2) range. When pressure drops below P1 due to leakage, the jockey pump starts automatically until pressure reaches P2. If water demand increases significantly and pressure falls to P3, the electric pump activates. In the event of a power failure or electric pump malfunction, the pressure may drop to P4, triggering the diesel pump automatically. Manual shutdown is required after the fire emergency is resolved for safety verification.
