Horizontal or Vertical Fire Pump Set with Diesel or Electric Engine
The EDJ series is a packaged fire pump set, designed as an automatic fire water supply system. It typically consists of a main pump (driven by an electrical motor), a standby pump (driven by a diesel engine), and a jockey pump. This model comes equipped with a separate controller or one attached to the skid. The package also includes discharge valves, a common header, and essential accessories.
The pipeline network's pressure is generally maintained between low pressure P1 and high pressure P2. When pressure drops below P1, the jockey pump starts automatically until it reaches P2. In cases of significant water consumption where pressure drops to P3, the electric main pump starts. If power fails or the electric pump fails, pressure drops to P4, triggering the diesel pump set automatically. All main pumps are stopped manually after the emergency is resolved.
The diesel engine is mounted on a base with anti-vibration rubber pads and directly coupled to the pump via flexible coupling. System includes alternator, starter motor, fuel system, and exhaust system.
Main electric pumps can be Horizontal End Suction, Split Case, or Horizontal Multistage types based on requirements. Motors are squirrel cage industrial type, 3-phase. The Jockey pump is sized specifically to match the main pump specifications.
Enclosure rated IP 54, fabricated from mild steel with epoxy powder coating (Red). Features both Manual and Automatic starting modes with pressure controller synchronization for seamless operation transitions.
