When system pressure drops below the predetermined threshold, the jockey pump initiates operation triggered by a signal from the pressure switch. It typically runs for 10 minutes or until the system pressure stabilizes at the target value. Should the pressure continue to decline, the main pump is activated. In scenarios where the system requirements are still not met and pressure further decreases, the standby pump will automatically start to ensure continuous fire protection supply.
