EDJ series is a packaged fire pump set, generally an automatic fire water supply system. It consists of a main pump (driven by an electrical motor), a standby pump (driven by a diesel engine), and a jockey pump. This model comes equipped with a separate controller or one that is attached to the skid. The package also contains discharge valves, a common header, and accessories.
2. Working Principle
Generally, the pipeline network's pressure is maintained between low pressure P1 and high pressure P2. When pressure drops below P1, the jockey pump starts automatically until it reaches P2. In case of fire or large water consumption where pressure drops to P3, the electric pump starts. If the mains supply fails or the electric pump malfunctions, pressure drops to P4, triggering the diesel pump set automatically. Stopping of electric or diesel pumps is typically manual for safety judgment.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the key manufacturing processes for these fire pumps?
The manufacturing process includes high-precision casting, mechanical processing, lathe work, specialized heat treatment, professional assembly, and rigorous performance testing.
2. How do I choose the correct pump model for my building?
Selection is based on your required flow rate (GPM), net pressure requirements (PSI), and the type of liquid. Our engineering team can calculate and select the most suitable model based on these parameters.
3. What is the standard configuration of an EDJ Fire Pump Set?
A standard set typically includes an Electric Motor Pump (main), a Diesel Engine Pump (standby), a Jockey Pump (pressure maintenance), along with a controller, discharge valves, and a common header.
4. What should I do if the pump experiences operational issues during the warranty?
Please document the issues with photos or video and contact our support team immediately. We provide rapid diagnostic solutions and replacement parts under the one-year warranty policy.
5. Are these fire pumps compliant with international safety standards?
Yes, our fire pump systems are UL listed and hold certifications including ISO, CE, and IQNet, ensuring they meet global safety and performance standards for fire protection.
6. How is the system protected during international shipping?
All pump sets are securely packed in export-standard wooden cases to prevent damage during transit and ensure the equipment arrives in perfect working condition.
